Alfredo Sorichetti

Alfredo Sorichetti is the artistic and music director of the Civitanova all’Opera Season and of the Orchestra Sinfonica Puccini.

Sorichetti has also worked extensively as a guest conductor in over twenty countries at such houses as the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, the Smetana Hall and the Dvořák Hall Rudolfinum in Prague, the Liszt Academy of Budapest, the Khachaturian Concert Hall of Yerevan, the Herkulessaal of Munich, the Concert Hall of Beijing and Shanghai and of Mexico City.

Some if his relationships include the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire in France, the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea, the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de México, the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Sofia National Philharmonic, the Kammerphilharmonie Dacapo München and the Philharmonische Orchester der Stadt Trier in Germany.

He is regularly invited to conduct the MAV Symphony Orchestra in Budapest and, in Czech Republic, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, the North Czech Philharmonic, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic, the Hradek Králové Philharmonic and the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra.

In Italy Alfredo Sorichetti has conducted in many theatres and concert halls including the Verdi Hall in Milan and in Rome at the contemporary music festival of “Nuova Consonanza” recording for RAI3; he conducted the Orchestra Internazionale d’Italia, the Orchestra Regionale delle Marche (FORM) and the Orchestra della Magna Grecia. He is regularly invited by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo.

As a winner of the Orchestra Favorive Award (2006) at the Fourth Vakhtang Jordania International Conducting Competition of Kharkov, he has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Kharkov Philharmonic Orchestra from 2006 to 2008.

In 2009 he founded the Orchestra e Coro del ’700 Italiano of which he is Music Director and Conductor. Alfredo Sorichetti is a passionate conductor of the eighteenth century repertoire and he performed, touring Italy, many works sometimes reconstructing the scores by the manuscript. They have recorded the Mass of Saint Ignazio by Domenico Zipoli, the Laudate Pueri Dominum and the Salve Regina by Giovan Battista Pergolesi and, at the Teatro dell’Aquila of Fermo the Mozart Requiem.

In January 2016 he has been appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Euro Sinfonietta Wien performing in the Novomatic Forum and in the Musikverein of Vienna.

Alfredo Sorichetti has a fine reputation as an opera conductor: in 2014 he appeared at the Macerata Opera Festival at the Sferisterio conducting an opera gala Festa per Anita dedicated to the great soprano Anita Cerquetti. He also conducted La traviata by Verdi and La bohème by Puccini at the Teatro Marrucino of Chieti (Italy), Evgheny Onegin by Tchaikovsky at Celjakinsk Opera House and Rigoletto at Ceboxsary Opera House (Russia), Madama Butterfly by Puccini at the Teatro D’Annunzio of Pescara, Il barbiere di SivigliaIl signor Bruschino by Rossini at the Rossini Theatre in Civitanova Marche (Italy), Suor Angelica by Puccini for the Civitanova all’Opera Season at the Teatro Annibal Caro of Civitanova Marche, a selection of Die Zauberflöte at the Teatro dell’Aquila of Fermo and many opera concerts collaborating with singers like Raina Kabaivanska, Sonia Ganassi, Susanna Branchini, Maria Pia Piscitelli, Iano Tamar and Riccardo Zanellato. At the Civitanova all’Opera Season he has conducted in 2018 two new productions of La traviata by Verdi and Tosca by Puccini at the Civitanova all’Opera Season with singers like Annalisa Raspagliosi, Gianfranco Montresor, Valter Borin, Gianpiero Ruggeri and Paola Antonucci and in March 2019, he has conducted two new productions of Madama Butterfly by Puccini with Daria Masiero and Giuseppe Varano and La bohème by Puccini with Marta Torbidoni, Valerio Borgioni, Romano Dal Zovo, Costantino Finucci, Alessio Potestìo, directed by Josè Medina.

He studied piano at the “Gioacchino Rossini” Conservatory of Music in Pesaro under Giovanni Valentini and attending masterclass under Sergio Fiorentino. He also studied Composition under Cesare Celsi and Orchestra Conducting at the Pescara Music Academy under Donato Renzetti and at the Chigiana Academy in Siena under Ilya Musin and Myung-Whun Chung.

In June 2020 he will debut at the Salzburg Mozarteum conducting the Savaria Symphony Orchestra.
