Danza y Fuga I op. 12 for 2 flutes, violin, guitar, harpsichord, perc. (small Tibetan temple bell, 3 Chinese woodblocks, 3 small gamelan gongs) - This was written in the summer of 1968 for the group of musicians and instruments we had in Deią at the time. It was performed in a concert in the house of the writer Fred Grunfeld, whose hobby was collecting oriental percussion instruments. A few years later it was performed in a festival in Copenhagen. Danza y Fuga II op 18 for flute, violoncello, piano, xylophone, bongos - Performed in a concert of Mansker music in Munich, 1985 Danza y Fuga III op. 27 (Trio) for violin, cello and piano - performed by the Serafino Trio in several festivals in Spain. There is also a version for piano and string orchestra (op. 27b). Danza y Fuga IV op. 21 - 3rd movement of the Piano Concerto - Recorded with Suzanne Bradbury and the Slovak Radio Sym. Orchestra, conducted by Kirk Trevor. Danza y Fuga V op 29 for piano 4 hands - this is a more developed version of a piece originally commissioned for accordian. Performed in several festivals in Spain. Danza y Fuga VI op 33 for flute and piano - Commissioned by the flutist Linda Marianiello - performed many times in Germany and the USA. Recorded by the Bavarian State Radio. Danza y Fuga VII op. 34 for E-flat Clarinet, contrabass and piano - written for Walther Seyfarth of the Berlin Phil. and Suzanne Bradbury. Performed at the Deią Festival in Mallorca. Danza y Fuga VIII op. 35 for piano - performed at the Deią Festival and recorded by Suzanne Bradbury. CD Balance-9448-1 Danza y Fuga IX op. 39 for string quartet - premiered by the Camarata Quartett, Warsaw, at the Deią Festival 2003. Danza y Fuga X op. 45 for orchestra - work in progress. |
